It is a difficult time sitting in front of the news. Is the Queen on her way to meet her beloved Philip?
She is a great age. 96 years. The amount of events that she has seen in that many years is almost impossible to calculate.
But are we waiting in suspense for her demise or waiting in suspense to see what happens next?
She has been the monarch of this country for my whole life. Am sure many people are the same. She has been like everyone’s grandma. We looked to her in times of trouble and hardship.
When my father was in hospital, we sat around his bed, knowing his time was limited. I feel the same now, as we sit in front of bbc news, we sit around the virtual bedside, praying and whispering words of support. Is it time to tell her to rest and close her eyes or do we pray for her survival????
